The trip to Cintai Corito's Garden was my birthday travel for 2018. I longed to see this place so much because aside from it's intricate bali-inspired resort, the story behind the place is also amusing.

How to Get There

We planned to get there using the most suggested route of travel bloggers. Warning: long post. haha!

Option 1

Take the bus at Buendia or Cubao Terminal to take you to Lipa Grand Terminal (P140)
At the Grand Terminal, take a jeepney to Malabanan and ask the driver to drop you off at Caltex (P8)
From Caltex, take another jeepney to Balete and drop off at Cintai Corito's Garden (P20)

So there we are at JAM Liner Cubao and the lines were just crazy! The buses got delayed in the schedule due to traffic, thus the long lines. Another problem was, we were confused which Grand Terminal is it. Since, I'm from the north, I do not have any idea if the Batangas Grand Terminal is the same with Lipa Grand Terminal. I have a guess in my heart that they are not but the people in the line told me that Grand Terminal is Batangas Route. I have been to Puerto Galera so I have an idea of the Batangas Grand Terminal but I'm not sure if queuing for the it will lead me to Cintai. So I followed my instinct and asked another person. This time, instead of telling them that I'm going to Lipa Grand Terminal, I told them that I'm heading to Balete and yes, the route that I should be going is Lipa and not Batangas. Haha! We started lining up for Lipa, but still no luck with the buses. This all happened for about 30 minutes after reaching JAM Liner and I was very impatient because I need to be in Cinati at 11:00AM. I did another "hope for the best" and suggested to walk to DLTB Terminal. I am not sure what is the situation in there but as I said, hope for the best.

We walked for about 10 minutes and we reached the DLTB Terminal. Few people but no buses. Haha! But we still have our hope up and asked a security guard (the only personnel we found then) if there are buses going to Lipa and what time would they arrive. The kind security guard told us that there are no buses in the area (nose in - nose put policy) and we need to wait for the shuttle to take us to the DLTB main terminal (where they have the buses). He also told us that we can take the Tambo Exit to reach Balete. And that is the time I remembered that I stumbled to another blog and read the alternative route, Tambo Exit.

Option 2

In Cubao, ride a bus (Jam Liner, DLTB, ALPS) going to Tambo Exit (P132)
From the drop off point, cross the road and ride a jeepney going to Robinson's Lipa (left side of the road). Landmark is McDonalds (P8)
From McDonalds, go to the footbridge and ride a multi cab to Levitown. Landmark is Caltex and Jollibee (P8)
Find the Levitown terminal and ride a jeepney to Cintai Corito's Garden  (P20) (left side of the road) Because of time constraint, we hired a tricycle from Levitown to take us directly to the place (P100/trike)

Reservation Needed

Reception Area

We started communicating through their email address and FB Messenger account weeks before our desired trip. They do not respond quickly to messages so I suggest to contact them early. We planned to have a Weekend Lunch Buffet and they required the name of contact, contact number, number of pax and date of visit. They did not ask for downpayment nor reservation fee.

And yes, it pays to make a reservation. Upon reaching the entrance, the security guard asked if we have a reservation and we said yes and gave out the details. The Guard then called the reception (the entrance is around 10 mins away from the reception area) to confirm our reservation.

The buffet included a number of viands, salads and desserts. My favourite was the lechon belly with number of sauces you can try on. haha!

The Weekend Lunch Buffet is available during Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Abadi Restaurant.

Adult Rate - P550 per person
Kids Rate - P375 per person

P.S. Do not lose your receipt. You will need to show this to the Security Guard before you leave the premise. But in case you lost it, they can easily phone the dining area :)

The whole place is charmingly interesting from it's sophisticated architecture on each building to the  organisation of the entire area. For some time, you may think that you're really in Bali.

My favourite spots were the Portal Door, Elephant Portal and the Swimming Pools.  Again, I love every part of it including the restrooms. Haha! The place is massive and includes uphill and downhill walk but there are also gazeebos where you can rest and breathe.

Going back to North

We waited outside the place for Jeepeneys passing by. It took around 10 -15 minutes waiting time. We thought of hiring a tricycle but there's no luck. The jeepney with Tanauan - Lipa Route took us directly to SM Lipa (P16).  I do not know if this is normal, but we skipped one jeepney ride (because from the suggested routes going back it said ride a Jeepeny from Cintai to Levitown and another jeepney from Levitown to SM Lipa. South friends, please explain. haha). In SM Lipa Terminal, there were number of buses going to Buendia or Cubao. Fare is P132.
