The Agas-agas Bridge is known as the tallest bridge in the Philippines with a length of about 350 meters and a height of 89 meters above the ground. It is supported by two piers measuring 73 x 246 meters.

How to get there

  • From Manila, take a flight to Daniel Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City.  - 1 hour
  • From the Airport, you can opt to hire a tricycle to bring you to Abucay Terminal (P150) or you can ride a jeepney (outside the Airport) to Downtown - Mcdo (P13) then transfer to a multi cab that will take you to Abucay Terminal (P7). - 30 minutes
  • From Abucay Terminal, you can take a van going to Sogod  (P150). It passes by the bridge. Travel time is approx. 2 hours. Another options is to take a van going to Maasin City and alight at Mahaplag crossing (P150) then hire a habal-habal (P300 RT) to take you to the bridge. Travel time is around 2-3 hours.

Tips and Basic Information
  • If you choose the option of taking a van to Sogod: FYI! There are few van going to Tacloban that will pass by the bridge. You can ask the driver if he will return to Tacloban. If he does, you can ride the same van going back to Tacloban. His trip from Agas-agas bridge to Sogod and going back is around 30 minutes just enough to explore the area.
  • They have hipline and cable car attractions but it was closed during our visit.
